(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway will open its doors for business in 2014 with its traditional Spring Motorcycle and Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meets.  The Spring Motorcycle Swap Meet is the first event on the 2014 SMS Calendar of events, and is scheduled for Sunday, March 30.  The 28th Annual Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meet will be the following Sunday, April 6th.
The Motorcycle Swap Meet features an abundance of everything motorcycles, from parts and pieces to leather jackets and other accessories.  The Motorcycle meet will also have an antique/custom bike show and music from Ron Jones and The Carptones.  The Motorcycle meet is rain or shine, and the gates open at 7:00am on Sunday, April 7th, and the meet ends at 4pm.  Admission is just $10.  Vendor spaces are priced at $30.  All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome at the swap meet.  There will be additional Motorcycle Swap Meets at Stafford on June 29th and October 26th.  For more information about the Motorcycle Swap Meet, including vendor space information, please call (860)-604-7528 or (860)-978-2861.
The 28th Annual Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meet features an abundance of everything automotive, from complete cars all the way down to suspension and engine parts.  There will also be a Car Corral for FOR SALE ONLY vehicles.  Admission for the Ty-Rods meet is $11.  The gates for the Ty-Rods meet will open at 7:00am, and the meet is rain or shine.  Vendor spaces for the Ty-Rods meet measure approximately 10′ by 20′, and cube vans need at least two spaces.  Vendor space price is $50 and can be paid at the gate.  The car corral is a limited area and fills up on a first come, first serve basis.  The price to display a car in the corral is $30 per vehicle.  Ty-Rods returns to Stafford Speedway for the 41st Annual Fall Ty-Rods Swap Meet on Sunday, October 19th at SMS.  For additional information on the Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meet, including vendor space information, call Ty-Rods directly at (860)-649-3697.
Stafford Motor Speedway kicks off its 2014 NASCAR racing season with the 43rd annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler on April 26th-28th.  The weekend will consist of the 200-lap NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, a 40-lap SK Modified® feature, a 30-lap Late Model feature, 20-lap feature events for both the SK Light Modified and Limited Late Model divisions, a 15-lap DARE Stock feature, and a 25-lap feature for the Northeast Mini Stock Tour.
Tickets for 43rd Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler are on sale now and can be obtained by calling the speedway office at 860-684-2783 or by stopping by the office in person.  Tickets for “The Greatest Race In the History of Spring” are priced at $38.50 for Adult General Admission, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and under are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult.  Reserved seating is available for $42.00.  All tickets are good for both Saturday and Sunday admission to the Sizzler.

  1. 26th Annual Stateline Motorcycle Swap Meet

    The 26th annual Stateline Motorcycle Swap Meet will be held again on Sunday May 18th, 2014 from 8am to 4pm at the Dover Elks Lodge (282 route 108), in Dover New Hampshire, **RAIN OR SHINE**. Part of the day’s proceeds will be donated back to the Dover Elks to be used for their various veterans and children’s charities. The swap meet will once again include venders selling motorcycle parts, accessories, new and used bikes, leather goods, collectibles, tools, M/C support gear from the local clubs, information from the New Hampshire Motorcyclist Rights Organization (NHMRO), and many other vendors. All makes and models are welcome. A ‘for sale’ corral will be set up for people wanting to group their motorcycles for sale inside the swap meet ($10/ bike). Also this year the bike show is back! Come enter your bike for a chance to win a trophy. Categories are: Custom, Pre-’84, and People’s Choice.

    Admission is still only $5, and kids under 10 are free with a paid adult. There will be an ATM on site, music, full bathrooms, food and a fully stocked bar. Come grab a cold one, walk around and see all that there is. In the recent past thousands of people attended, this year promises to be bigger.

    Vendors: gates open at 6am for vendors the day of. Sorry, but we are not accepting food vendors at this time. The standard outside space is 10 ft by 30 ft and is $40 per space.     Directions: from the south take I95 north to route 16N (Spaulding Turnpike), to exit 7. At the bottom of the ramp turn left and follow route 108 (Durham Rd) 1.5 miles to the Elks on the left. From the North, take route 16 south to exit 7, right at the bottom of the ramp and follow route 108 (Durham Rd) 1.5 miles to the Elks on the left. From the East, take I95 south in Maine, to route 16 North. Follow directions above. From the West: take route 4 east from the Concord NH area, get off at the route 108/Durham/UNH exit, go left at the bottom of the ramp and head towards DOVER. The Elks is about a mile down on the right.
